Survival kits are always interesting. Except Survival Bracelet, I have never understood. Shackle is small and rope is short. Instead you should make Survival Belt. You need three components. I have chosen 3 mm in diameter and 500 kg breaking load kite rope. Short test confirmed it holds my full weight. Second, you need two  O or D rings about 5x40 mm. These form buckle, as well are attachment points for unfolded rope. Third, most important you need some help of light-speed fingers, if you do not plan to spend several weeks on your belt.

Here it is.Nice silver-light belt with 50 m of rope and two strong stainless steel rings.  Commonly for my DIY not needed item, with most charming planning and making process.
